An error occurred while attempting to connect to server. Check that the Virtual Machine Management service is running and that you are authorized to connect to the server

Solution:

On the desktop, Navigate to Start and select Run. In the Run dialog box, type gpedit.msc. Press OK to launch Local Group Policy Editor.

Expand Local Computer Policy, expand Computer Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, expand System, and then click Credential Delegation.

In the Settings pane, double-click Allow Delegating Fresh Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication.

In the Allow Delegating Fresh Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication dialog box, do the following: Click Enabled.

In the Options area, click Show.

In Value, type WSMAN/*, and then click OK. Make sure that Concatenate OS defaults with input above is selected, and then click OK.
