In Microsoft 365, you can reset passwords for users and let employees reset their own passwords.
Reset a user’s password
From the Microsoft 365 admin center, Expand Users > Active Users Select the user you want to reset password.
Click Reset password.
Do one of the following:
- Select Auto-generate password to have a random password automatically created.
- Select Let me create the password to manually create a new password.
- To require the user to create a new password the next time he or she signs in, select the Make this user change their password when they first sign in check box.
To send the password to the employee’s alternate email address or any address you choose, select Send password in email,
enter the email address in the box, and then choose Send email and close.
