You can use System Center Configuration Manager to deploy Office 365 ProPlus , to users and computers in your organization, By using Configuration Manager, you can also control which users and computers get Office 365 ProPlus, where they get the installation files from, and when the Office 365 ProPlus installation occurs.
Start SCCM Console. Navigate to Software Library\Office 365 Client Management;
Click Office 365 Installer; Click Office 365 Installer;
For Application Settings, enter Name and Path to empty folder at network share. Click Next
For Office Setting, Click Go to Office Web Page.
Under Deployment settings, select the architecture, 64-bit. Once you select architecture, select the product which is Office 365ProPlus.
You can turn apps on or off to include or exclude them from being deployed. Click Add and proceed to next step
Select the update channel “Monthly Channel (Targeted)”, Version and click Next.
You can select the primary language and additional languages. Click Next
Upgrade Options – The settings allow to uninstall the older version of apps.
- Uninstall any MSI versions of Office, including Visio and project
- Remove Visio
- Remove Project
- Remove SharePoint Designer
- Remove InfoPath
Turn on the options that you require and click Next.
Licensing and Activation
Provide your Company Details
Application Preferences – You will find various settings here that you can configure. You can also customize based on individual office app such as Outlook, Excel, Access etc. The search bar allows you to type and search the settings which is very useful.
If you are done with configuring the settings, click Review button and then Submit.
Submit the Deployment Settings
On Office Settings page, click Go to the Office Web Page
For Deployment, select option Yes. Click Next;
Select Collection for deployment and click Next
Add Distribution Point and click Next;
Specify Settings for deployment and click Next;
For Scheduling, click Next (or config schedule);
Configure User Experience and click Next;
Configure Alerts and click Next;
For Summary, click Next;
On the Confirmation page, check that the application was successfully deployed, and then choose Close.
Navigate to Software Library\Application Management\Applications;
After you deploy the application, a targeted computer becomes aware of the deployed application during the computer’s next client policy polling cycle, which is once every sixty minutes by default. Then, the computer downloads the installation files for the application from a distribution point into the Configuration Manager client cache.
The installation of Office 365 ProPlus takes place from the client cache and no additional files are downloaded from the network or from the Internet.
Verified Deployment:
Open Software Center, Select Office 365 app and click Install;
Installation successfully completed;
